Keele University Delegation Visits CDUTCM for In-Depth Collaboration Discussions

A delegation of eight members from Keele University, including David Lowe, Director of the International Office, Qian Zhao, Asia-Pacific Recruitment Manager, and staff from the Chengdu Project Office, visited Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CDUTCM) on April 7. The meeting was attended by Gao Yongxiang from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Jin Rongjiang from the School of Health Preservation and Rehabilitation, and Zhang Jinming from the School of Pharmacy.

Gao Yongxiang extended a warm welcome to the Keele University delegation and provided an overview of CDUTCM's international education situation, covering international exchange programs, global education, and the construction of international faculty. David Lowe, the Director of the International Office at Keele University, focused on the collaborative specialties between the two universities, highlighting the disciplinary advantages of public health and rehabilitation therapy at Keele University. He expressed the desire to build a high-level and outstanding cooperative educational institution between the two universities. Jin Rongjiang and Zhang Jinming introduced the advantageous specialties, teaching methods, and research achievements of the School of Health Preservation and Rehabilitation and the School of Pharmacy, respectively.

During the meeting, both universities presented long-term plans for the future development of their collaborative institutions. In-depth discussions took place on expanding collaborative programs and cooperation in various fields. Consensus was reached on joint training of postgraduate and doctoral students, faculty and student exchanges, research collaboration, and reciprocal visits by management teams.

Following the meeting, the Keele University delegation toured the Rehabilitation Training Room, Acupuncture Training Laboratory, Remote Smart Laboratory, Clinical 5G Smart Teaching Center, PBL Classroom, and Smart Classroom. They expressed deep impressions of our university's intelligent experimental equipment and vibrant learning atmosphere.

CDUTCM and Keele University signed a cooperation memorandum in 2020, initiating exchange collaboration. This visit marks the first offline visit by representatives from Keele University since 2019.
